Sharon R. O'Halloran
Sharon R. O'Halloran , CPA, CGA - President graduated from CGA Canada in 1994, and opened a professional accounting office in the same year.
Sharon’s education includes a University degree with a major concentration in finance and accounting, and a Certified General Accounting designation. As well, Sharon received her Chartered Professional Accounting Designation April 1, 2015.
Sharon and her staff are committed to extensive professional development and are always looking for new ways to serve clients.
Sharon has been in the professional accounting industry for 30 years in Prince Edward Island; working with many profit companies, charities, not-for-profit organizations as well as corporate and personal clients. Sharon and her team are devoted to “empowering their clients’ success”.
Meet our team
Amber joined our firm in 2018, and primarily does corporate and sole proprietor bookkeeping. Amber will be attending Holland College in September of 2020, taking the Accounting Technology course to expand her knowledge of personal and corporate tax returns. Prior to joining the firm, she was a bookkeeper at several different businesses, but enjoys the challenge of learning new roles and working with a wide variety of clientele.
Ben originally from the UK, graduated in 2004 with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Portsmouth, and has a diploma in advanced management accounting. He has worked in the accounting field for nearly 10 years and is currently working towards his professional designation. Ben has been working with our firm since 2010.
Dawn has been with our firm since the beginning of 2019. She graduated from the Granton Institute of Technology in Ontario with a diploma in Bookkeeping as well as Accounting. Dawn's primary rolls are a Bookkeeper as well as a tax preparer.
Kara graduated from Holland College in 2011 with a diploma in Marketing and Advertising, and in 2013 from UPEI with degrees in both Philosophy and English. She has been working with our firm since 2017 and works primarily in the Summerside location during tax season aiding in T1 preparation. She is also responsible for Social Media and Advertising.
Sherrie graduated from Dalhousie Univerisity in 1995 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in accounting. She received her CGA designation in 2000, and received her CPA designation in 2015. She has been in public practice since graduating from university in 1995, and has been an excellent asset to our firm since joining us in January, 2020.
Wendy joined our firm as a bookkeeper on January 2, 2020. Wendy graduated from Three Oaks Senior High School and completed her Post Secondary education in the bookkeeping program at Holland College. She brings with her several years of experience in bookkeeping and office administration. Her experience includes working in private industry as a bookkeeper/office manager, contract work with the public school system in office administration and in recent years doing bookkeeping for several businesses at Corkum Professional Accounting and Tax.
Lex Arsenault recently moved back here from Nova Scotia with her two dogs to be closer to family. She began working with our firm as the Executive Administrative Assistant in February of 2020. She is new to the field and is always learning new things and appreciates the opportunity to build new relationships with the lovely clients the firm works with. She graduated from Holland College: Summerside Campus as a Legal Administrative Assistant and in the future, she hopes to further her education and knowledge in Estate Planning.
Christie-Anne is a Bookkeeping Manager in our Summerside office. Collectively, she has worked with our firm for over 5 years doing bookkeeping, personal income taxes and more. Formally an Administrative Assistant, Christie-Anne’s hard work and dedication has promoted her to being a Senior Bookkeeper.
Lora began with our firm in 2020 as a tax preparer. She is currently enrolled in the Accounting Technology program at Holland College. Before studying accounting, Lora completed a master’s degree in anthropology. Aside from tax preparation, Lora also does bookkeeping and is training to expand her knowledge of financial accounting. Currently residing in Summerside, Lora works in both the O’Leary and Summerside offices.
Christina moved to the Island from Ontario near the end of 2021. She joined the firm as an Administrative Assistant in September of 2022. Her duties have expanded to include bookkeeping and basic personal tax returns. Christina thoroughly enjoys meeting new people as she has a strong background in customer service. She hopes to continue to learn more about bookkeeping and tax returns.
